Denis has got a degree in business administration and started his career with Kiev based office of global audit and consulting company Deloitte. After such an initial financial background, Denis was working for a number of Ukraine based investment banks. Denis has more than 15 years’ experience in financial and investment banking fields, having raised equity and debt for Ukrainian businesses in the amount of more than USD 1 Bln. Denis also has got a considerable pperational management track record. In the construction and mining sectors, Denis has had an experience being part of the operational team supervising kimberlite mine and alluvial mines development in South Africa and Lesotho, as well as being operational director of concrete production business in Ukraine. Denis is leading ULM since 2019.
Developing Polokhivske lithium deposit in central Ukraine
ULM is a junior mining company developing Polokhivske lithium deposit in central Ukraine. It is the only company in Ukraine that has so far purchased a production license for one of the largest lithium resources in Europe, with a potential for further expansion. In terms of an upstream component, ULM is targeting an underground mine operation (1.5 mln tons of ore annual production) and a concentrator (approximately 300,000 tons of concentrate annually), and also considering the construction of a lithium conversion plant (annual production of 15-20K tons of lithium carbonate). With close proximity to the European markets, ULM is ideally positioned to capitalize on the rapid expansion in lithium battery cell manufacturing and rising demand for raw material in Europe.
